Okoa sasa 2013 is a CBO based at the Coast Province whose main objective is to offer support to the marginalized children who face issues of child abuse, empower women and early mothers in need of proper reproductive health education and FSW’s on their rights to live life free of violence and exploitation.

Okoa sasa 2013 is a brain child of Grace,Barack , Victor and Mariette long term committed community development workers at the coast region and Finland who saw the argent need of rescuing marginalized children, empowering FSW’s and drug and substance abusers and  also helping young mothers have safe deliveries

Equal rights for all women and children hence build a society of empowered women and children with a stronger self esteem

 

Vision

To build a stronger society fully empowered with knowledge ans skills on various aspects of community development,women  empowerment and children rights

Objectives

· Offer support to marginalized and abused children

· Help the girl child receive education to the highest level

· Mobilize resource  for support and expansion of program

· Network with rehabilitation centers in order to assist in rehabilitating drug and substance abusers

· Empower FSW’s on their rights and healthier living

·  Empower young mothers on better reproductive health

· Offer peer to peer counseling

· To empower the girl child in the community by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to enable them to become self-reliant

· To open free accounts for each of the girls who will take part in the project

· To instill and develop good business management strategies.

· To sensitize, mobilize, and unite youth and the community and help them face all challenges positively

· To enable stakeholders to appreciate the role of vocational institutions in the community and as part of rebuilding the nation

· To assist trained youth to become job creators rather than job seekers

· To provide employment

· To provide loans to these girl child to help them start their business and improve on existing markets.

· In the course of the program, networking events will be organize to help the girl child to make contacts that they will need eventually
